The rise of online casino bonuses

December 14th, 2008 by admin

The saying goes that you can’t keep a good man down, well that is certainly true of online casino bonuses. As the online gambling industry has developed from a bud to a full bloom, online casino bonuses have grown exponentially too. They have had to in order to keep pace with the constant developments in the industry.

Another useful quote that sums up fairly accurately the situation on the internet casino ind

ustry at the present time is that ‘necessity is the mother of invention’. This means that in order to stand out from the crowd (and it is a tightly packed and highly competitive one), online casinos have to try and find alternative ways to both attract new members and retain the ones that they already have. A heady combination of greater membership leading to greater profits for an internet casino, means that this aspect of their business is somewhere near the very top, in terms of importance.

All kinds of online casino bonuses and there are many varieties are one of the primary tools in the arsenal of (gentle) inducements that an online casino has at its disposal. They are a primary motivating factor in our desire to play initially and the promise of more online casino bonuses retains our interest and ensures that we, as punters keep coming back for more.

With so much at stake for online casinos and with so much energy, research and development being lavished on the playing aspect of gambling, online casino bonuses will continue to be on the up and up.

Find the Path to Big Money with Free Online Casinos

October 2nd, 2008 by admin

My friends used to think it was funny that I was spending time at a free online casino.  To them, what was the point of casino games if you weren’t putting down money?  Well, it’s not that I disagree.  I definitely got into casino games in order to win money.  But, sometimes you got to play smart to win big.

What they didn’t realize was that playing a free online casino is a great way to practice up on new strategies and to meet other gamblers who have good tips and betting ideas.  I had hit a string of bad luck at the poker tables when I initially decided it was time to brush up on my game.  Casino games are all about strategy and control, which I knew I was lacking.  So, I read some online casino blogs and books to get ideas, and took the ones I liked to the free tables in order to try everything out risk free.

I stayed with my free online casino for about 2 months before I headed back into the real action.  Let me tell you, it paid off.  I made a game plan with my strategies and didn’t let myself play emotionally.  I ended up making some big money on my return.  With the new found confidence, I was happy when a week later poker night with my friends came.  I blew them out of the water to.

Nowadays, my friends don’t kid me about free online casinos.  After all, after seeing my results, it didn’t take them too long to get logged on as well.

Don’t get your wires crossed – signaling your intentions in Blackjack

September 7th, 2008 by admin

As with any card game or in fact any game with rules, there are conventions to know, understand and follow.  In the same way that you wouldn’t try and play baseball without knowing some rules first, there are specific hand gestures that accompany the game of Blackjack that should be known and made clear at the table.  Part of the reasons tables are recorded and the need to have clear hand signals so necessary is to show that there can be no miscommunication between the player and the dealer.

So, in order to get the best out of your Blackjack experience, the following is going to be important;

When you want to signal a ‘hit’, i.e. pick up another card; in the handheld version scrape the cards across the table, with face up touch the table with a finger.

In signaling a ‘split’, i.e. doubling the wager and having each card as the first card in a new hand; place additional chips next to the original bet and make the ‘two fingers’ sign.

To signal ‘stand’, i.e. not take any more cards; handheld, slide the cards under the bet and in face up, move your hand horizontally.

When signaling ‘Double Down’ i.e. increasing the wager to a maximum of double the original bet, taking one card more – a bet that was $25 initially would become $50; place extra chips next to original bet and make a one finger sign.

So that’s just a brief rundown, keep this list handy and see if it doesn’t come in useful the next time you play Blackjack.
